Lightning is a natural phenomenon that causes great losses in human lives every year, catastrophe in properties worth great amounts, destruction of unique cultural heritage sites, etc.
The protection of the building elements of a structure from the catastrophic consequences of the direct lightning strike is achieved with the external Lightning Protection System (LPS) which is designed according to the European Standard ELOT EN 62305-3.
The external SAP consists of the air termination system, down conductors and the earthing system. The installation of the external SAP is carried out with components and devices that meet the requirements of the European Standards ELOT EN 62561.
